MAISON DE TOUJOURS

For a family of five, home needed to be one thing above all else: a place to exhale. Between running a busy family business and raising three children, including two young ballerinas, the brief wasn't about a look. It was about coming home to calm.

The result blends classic Queenslander charm with a contemporary update and a touch of relaxed French influence, felt in the details rather than announced: skirted sofas with sloping arms, rattan, and decorative touches throughout. The palette leans timeless and elegant, with a warmth that feels considered rather than styled.

Eucalypt Studio was engaged across the entire home, kitchen, bathrooms, laundry, powder room and alfresco kitchen, through spatial planning, custom cabinetry, materials and finishes, lighting design, and furnishing and styling from end to end.

Early on, the clients told me this was their forever home, and it became something of a family joke: that it would be passed down through generations, with a standing clause it could never be sold. That idea gave the project its name, Maison de Toujours, the forever house.
